Jawey
«Jawey» is a prosthesis to communicate by lighting message. The teeth are replace by LEDs which are activated by a micro switch behind sensitive to the contact with the tongue. The idea is to developpe a kind of morse language without sound but light. This piece is inspired by Joey «the mechanical boy» of the book «The empty fortress» (Bruno Bettelheim) and the french rap singer with the same name. For Joey the child with autism, electricity and mechanics are a way to contact the outside world. For the rap star, the denture is a way to convey an image of his character. «Jawey» plays the encounter between two different worlds.
